Skinny jeans seem to be every where these days. "Sure," you're probably thinking, "skinny jeans look great on Kate Moss, but I'm no Kate Moss."
Despite the name, you don't have to be stick thin to look great in these trendy yet classic jeans. In fact, I've always noticed that skinny jeans seem to look best on curvy women and girls, but they can work for just about any frame or body. Just follow a few simple tricks to get the best look for your body type.
1. Look for skinny jeans in a dark wash. Black and dark blue colors are usually the most slimming and flattering. The goal here is to create a long, lean line, so the darker the better.
2. Avoid skin-tight jeans. In addition to being uncomfortable, they are also really bad for your legs-they cut off blood flow and can even cause varicose veins. Instead, look for skinny jeans that are lean but just a little loose. A general rule of thumb--if you can't easily get your foot through the ankle of the jean, then they are too tight.
3. Wear shoes that help your legs appear longer and leaner. Pointy-toed heels or flats are a perfect choice. Avoid wide, flat shoes that can make you look stumpy.
4. Disguise problem areas with a flattering shirt. Big tummy? Look for a loose babydoll tee or empire waist top. Heavy thighs? Try a long tunic with a skinny belt around your waist.
5. If you're still struggling, consider switching to a straight leg jean. The cut is very flattering and still gives off the same basic look.

It seems like Sarah Michelle Gellar always looks great. At movie premiere's she always seems to go for a very girly, feminine look, but this fantastic casual look shows that she can really rock an edgier style.
If you want to get the look seen here on Sarah Michelle Gellar, then start with a simple black top. Look at Target or Kohl's, where you can find plenty of simple basics at great prices. Next, pair the shirt with a dark skinny jean. If you're not comfortable wearing a skinny jean, then a nice straight-leg jean would work nicely. The key is to stick to a dark wash.
Next, throw on a pair of black boots and tuck your jeans inside the book. This is a great way to really draw attention to your legs. If you wear a high-heeled boot, your legs will look even longer.
Keep the accessories simple. A wide, black belt worn over the shirt will help define your waist, while at the same time dressing up your simple black top. A long gold necklace offer contrast and a touch of feminine elegance. I LOVE Sarah's big bag here--perfect for carrying all of your books, makeup and miscellaneous items. Finally, finish your outfit off with a sporty jacket to keep the look cool and casual.
For a change of pace, you might also consider swapping the wide belt for a gray vest and a long trench coat.

A lot of my friend turn up their noses at gold-colored outfits and accessories, but I think its just because they don't quite know how to wear this great color. The key to wearing gold without looking like your grandmother is to choose soft-looking pieces that have a pretty, metallic finish without being to harsh.
This pretty set combines pale-gold flats with a soft-pink dress that is incredibly simple, but very cute. I've paired these two items with a black headband, white ring, white pearl necklace and gold purse for a look that just screams romance and style.
